There are only three ways to get to the island: 1. Direct flight from Jeddah (3.5 hours - best/most direct option) 2. Fly from Cairo (2 layovers in mainland Yemen) 3. Cargo ship from Salalah, Oman that takes two days.
For our tours, the direct flight to Socotra is included in the trip cost from Jeddah, and is organized by us for you!

No. Tourism to Socotra is limited, and can only be coordinated through a local travel agency. Local travel agencies/tour companies coordinate the flight, visa, and activities for travelers visiting the island.

For the best availability and rates, we recommend reaching out at least 3–6 months before your desired travel date. While last-minute openings do happen, they are never guaranteed. Options may be limited during peak season (March/April).
Tourism is limited to Socotra to protect the landscape. Only 5,000-9,000 people visit per year, and there is currently only one flight to the island per week from Jeddah. Because of this demand, flights book out quite far in advance!
